The East Budleigh shop was first set up in 2008 and in April 2013 moved into a new building especially built as the Community Shop. This would not have been possible without a tremendous group of local volunteers and assistance from local professionals.
This successful and profitable shop has become such a vital part of the area for both local residents and those visiting this area of outstanding natural beauty and of course the birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh.
A Shop of Support
If you are housebound or can’t carry heavy shopping and you live in East Budleigh, ask us to deliver to your door.
A Shop of Saving
The shop is normally very competitive on its pricing; in many cases cheaper than local supermarkets. With a balanced view taking into account “Food Miles” and fuel costs to visit supermarkets or the next nearest general shop (at least 2 miles away), you can save money here !
A Shop with Local Produce
The shop has a great range of meat from local suppliers such as Arthur’s Butchery and Delicatessen, Clarksons of Devon and Clinton Devon Estates. Many of our products are free-range, like our excellent eggs. All are produced to the highest welfare standards, and Clinton Venison is produced from wild deer.
Gibson’s Plaice from Exeter supply us with small packs of fresh fish
We stock delicious local Juices, supplied by Four Elms Fruit Farm of Sidmouth.
These are not concentrates and no water or sugar is added. They are available in 75cl and 25cl bottles. The smaller ones are just right for children.
